SdKfz 250:
The armored-personnal-carrier in the Wehrmacht got the name Special-Motor-Vehicle (Sd.Kfz. 250). There was a lot of different sub-implementations, ever after, for which particular purpose it was thought. As reason-version, there was the Sd.Kfz. 250 as "easy armored-personnel-carrier-tank ". These vehicles was built in two versions: a new and an old. The old implementation had a weight of 4,6 ts, was 4.700 mm long, 1.945 mm wide and 1.660 mm high. Powered by a six-cylinder-May-brook-motor these vehicles reached a speed of 65 km/hs, the carried along 140 liters of fuel brought a reach of 175 km. These vehicles were armored with 14,5 mm at the front and 8 mm at the sides. The production of the vehicles with his complicated form, of the many slanted-standing sheet metals was ended in October 1943, the Sd.Kfz 250 new version took place. These vehicles only had nine instead of 19 different tank-plates. The weight of these new vehicles amounted to 5,38 tons, the fuel-reserve was increased something. Otherwise, the two implementations were alike themselves. 

As sub-implementation, there was the Sd.Kfz. 250/1, which was armed 34 with two MG's. At ammunition was carried along 2.010 punts. The Sd.Kfz. 250/2 was 34 armed only with one MG and was used as radio-carrier-vehicle. 

The model: 
As foundation-sentence, the Sdkfz 250/9 was available of the company Tamiya (article-number 35115). This I have got chep, because the tower was missing and so the kit lays some time in my stock, until I decide me to practice a little in scratching and to begin this model. Here, I must appreciative say, that despite the age of the mold it is a very high detailed and in the good known  quality of this manufacturer. 

  
The construction: 
After I had no tower with this kit more and I wanted to enter a few modellbauerisches Neulands has too first sanded the pedestal, which is integrated in the base-plate, I here once. How the bottom disk was even, the problem of the representation of the Riffelbleches poses itself for me. After short consideration, I came show on it a cover one cat-feed-can to take which a similar structure however. Said, done and already that was cleaned part and after which dries by means of super-glues on the platform installed. After this work went relatively easily from the hand and one became have have me that decided me to practice a little in homemade here very much insight into the interior I there consciously and has further things nachgebaut. So, the model has reproduce no tightly-protection over the Fahrer/Beifahrer from leather which I from plastic. The lateral team-bank and the additional seat were built 251 and Plastiksheet themselves from sharings of an old SdKfz. Because jam-box has also built I from plastic and Alufolie and has equipped with clip and palace. As next point has not pleased her/it me with the kit, the fire extinguisher was. He/it has replaced this from plastic and foil in the homemade again and consists of 7 parts. As small addition, I still have the handrail in the fight-area and supplement the valves of the tires. I have prepared even the mountings for the tarpaulin from Kanülen and have installed in the outside-area. 

Let's come back to the general construction again. Here, one proceeded after the instruction and the drive was prefabricated and was varnished. The montage of the Einzelgliederkette represented also no big problems. After drying the total, I have also begun which before itself quickly with the mounting of the inside-equipment went. Was painted the interior, which was still available in 2 parts, by means of airbrush then. After him/it installs and that paints the details was stuck together the two parts together and the construction of the inside-area was completed.  

  
Painting: 
This became first in the area of the interior, and then - after careful masking - on the outside-area. As colors, I have used acrylic-colors of the company Gunze. For the grounding, I took 404 Khaki and for the camouflage olive 405 of the same manufacturer. Beyond this, I layed a shiny clear varnish as a basis for the Decals. Unfortunately those decals were not from convincing quality and so I have tried, to treat them with some thinn layera of dust-color with; unfortunately this was not so satisfactorily. Oldering and weathering was served with chalk-dust, which connected with weak clear varnish and with highly rarefied oils. For the metal parts, I has use graphite-powders of a pencil and after everything was dried, the model became his finish with weak clear varnish completely.
