Befor
some years I have sold an "Hobbycraft"-kit of the I16 type 17, to an
extraordinary price - and so I have to build this once a time .... The
first view in the box shows me an undetailed engine, so I starts
to build this scratch - the report and a small "how to do" you can find
in "tips & tricks" ......
As
the engine was done, I have thougt by myself, that it will be better,
to scratch ago the parts behind the firewall. The whole part can pulled
out the modell, to have a better view on it.
Some flaps and
boards I have cutted, to allow a better view inside the engine-area.
The covers I have build scratch on thin metal sheet.
For
the markings my first choice was the plane of Arsenyi Vassilievich
Vorozhekin, 728th hunting-regiment, spring 1943 at the Kalinin-Front.
An
then I have got the idea, to build a "not-normal" base for the plane
...... a transparent one, that could illuminated. Some times
before I have got easier ideas ......
I have formed the terrain
from plexglass, that was heated with a heatgun, completed with parts
made of casting- and packing-leavings.
All of my ideas, I was unable to implement, but the result is near of my concept.
Happy modelling
