The original is so well known, that it is not necessary to write about it - whoever is interested in, can find a
lot of information in the web or in the pertinent compartment-literature.
The modell:
Some manufactors have
brought a lot of kits in scale 48 in the last time, for my newest
project I have taken the AFV-Club-Kit. After opening the box, you will
find good casted parts, some etched parts, like fan-grilles. You can
build a moveable drive-assembly, because there are screws included.
Only the vinyl-chains may be a deficit...
The construction:
The construction is
easy and fast, only a few psotions must be grinded - like by a great
japanese producer. You are able to build five different versions.
The painting an oldering:
After finishing
the construction I have painted by airbrush in dessert-yellow, that was
lightened with Tamiya-Buff, ti simulate the weathering. After drying I
have applacated "clear" at decals-position, to avoid "silvering".
To simulate the metall-effect I have used pigment from MIG. Also for
mud, dust and rust I have used this pigments. For me an easy way to do
so.
Conclusion:
An
appealing kit for the beginner just as suitable as for the advanced or
professional model-builder. I think, it was not my last AFV-Tiger in this
scale.
Happy modelling
