Many
of us modellers have gone it already once so - you sees an
original-photo and imagines itself " that I must build…." So,
it went have see me as me marginal picture of a Me 163 for the first
time; and already three years later I has realized
it…… The Dragon-Kit was relatively
trouble-free to build; few clefts (spatula had to become merely at the
wing-base), no delay. Simply Oob, because the kit contained also
photo-etched-parts, that placed me in front of no problem.
Unfortunately, I have only noticed the casting-sink-place under the
cockpit on the photos; therefore, I have put home-made gloves over
them…. With the painting, it already
became tricky; my experience with German color-schemes was absolutely
zero up to this time; therefore, I should also have assaulted with the
tones. I have used Revell-Air from the glass for the grounding, over
there I have worked with Vallejo-Air. I had to rework some positions
with brush, what you still sees unfortunately all too clearly. The
figure consists of the body of a Preiser-Figure - that by means of
lead-foil the typical uniform-parts was adapted - a head of a
Verlinden-Mechanics from the USAAF-Set and the arms of an ICM-Pilot.
And since I make nothing normal, I has use the hands of a
Verlinden-Pilot….. because that had such a beautiful
Breitling-Watch. The feet (boot) come from another Verlinden-Figure again….. The
Decals from the kit were from outstanding quality, since I could not
investigate the signal of the original-machine however, I have used a
not busy " white 2 ". The "evil cross" at the rudder was not enclosed
in the kit and also I have given up the attachment…. About
the presentation, nothing came to mind better for me, as an old
edge-board to surface and engraves to simulate the concrete-place at
Brandis. I hope despite all, it pleases……..
