Historic background
In the year 1939 the asked for the development of a new motorcycle - condition: a a higher clearance to be able to drive apart streets. Besides Harley Davidson also Indian started to develop such a motorcycle.
Harley Davidson designated this motorcycle WLA (A for the army version, C for the canadian army). The US Army has ordered about 90.000 motorcycles which were used on all fronts.

The scene
Before soldiers of the US Army drove with motorcycles in almost every area, horses were used to ride and as a reading animal. Horses took their riders fast and save through every area, but with the speed and the easy maintains of motorcycles horses couldn't keep up.
Austria afer 1945: Somewhere in the US zone a GI was on the way with his Harlay Davidson WLA and passed a horse ranch - and met an old "comrade".
Building of the diorama
The modell was built out of the box, only a few cables and lines were added and the horse became more details. Painted with Acryl (Vallejo, Gunze, System3) and Enamel (Revell).
The ground of the diorama is a sand-water-glue-mixture with static-gras on it.
